Clearing the cache for the Google Play Store worked for me as well.  Thank you for your help.

Before doing this it said I had no updates needed or error searching for updates.  Once I did this all my apps on my phone updated.  I also went and tried on my Chromebook and several updates showed up that were not showing up before.
