Don't like that you can't make additional payments on your phone to pay off early! I occasionally have gift cards or a little extra and would find it in the cusomers (me) interest to have this option!
You could save those gift cards until you have enough and then you could pay off the purchase balance.

You could always purchase your phone from another place which allows you to make additional payments. No one is forcing you to purchase from Verizon.
