How do I cancel one of the 5 lines I have on family share plan?

I have been Verizon customer for about 7 years, I got a line for my mother, but she is not going to be able to use the line. How do I cancel her line without incurring heavy termination charge? T-mobile said they will be able to help me cover the cancellation cost if I move all my lines to their service, I live in SF bay area so shady service is not a problem. I would like to know if someone can point me in right direction with cancelling the service on one line.

Call Verizon or visit a Verizon store to cancel the line if you will not use that number at all.  You will have termination charges though.  If you want to keep the number but use T-Mobile, you need to contact T-Mobile to start service and port that phone number to T-Mobile, and that will auto-cancel service with Verizon.  If you cancel before porting, you lose that number.
