Customer Service Lied and Won't Make Things Right

I switched to Verizon last year for the BOGO promotion for the Note 9.  I was informed that I would most definitely be able to upgrade both phones after 12 months despite having the BOGO promotion.  I called today to Preorder the  Note 10 and was first informed that I wouldn't be able to upgrade because of the promotion.  I pushed back and questioned them and was then informed that infact it was because the phones were marked as 24 months and not 12 months.  That was never explained to me last year as I was admimant about being able to upgrade.  The Verizon representative said nothing and was like you can upgrade next year.  This is why I left Verizon years ago and this is why I will be leaving them again.  This is beyond ridiculous.
