I have a suggestion for the Verizon ordering process. There should be an option to select immediate order processing or wait 15 minutes before processing. This will give the user a grace period to allow for order cancellation if something was handled incorrectly. Today I was wanting to order a new phone and pick it up at the store. Online support was assisting me with the order and told me to proceed to the next page to select in-store pickup. This action caused the order to be placed and processing to occur immediately, which in turn did not allow me to cancel the order. I now have a 2-day shipping on my order to an address that will be 3 hours away on the day of delivery. I have been told I can cancel the order once processing is complete, but I'm predicting the order will instantaneously be shipped and I will still not be able to cancel.
