Battery and Camera problem

I have a Moto Z Force phone my Motorola.  Mid January it began turning off when attempting to take pictures.  Even with the battery at 63%, just choosing to open the camera function shuts the phone down.  Does anyone know why this is happening?  The first time it happened after taking two pictures, did the same thing on another day and today it turned off as soon as I opened the camera to take a picture.  Is this a problem that I need to replace the phne because of it? Is the problem covered under the phones warranty?

I use my phone more than any function on my device so I know how important it is to get this up and running. Does the phone have any damage: liquid or physical? Have you done a software update? Did you download anything new onto your device?

I have the same issue and it just occurred today.  Nothing new added.  No liquid or other damage.  My battery was at 25% and I went outside to take a video and the same thing happened.  The phone just shut down.  I thought I hit the wrong button. Plus, when I take an inside video, it's always blurry.  It never focuses.

I thought I corrected my problem by clearing the cache on the camera app but that is not the case. It happened again with 68% power still on the phone. I have not had any spills or liquid on my phone. No cracks in the screen or case it just crashes and shuts off. I feel it’s a defect in the battery function and the phone. I got the phone in January of 2016 so it’s just barely a year old. I won’t be getting another Moto Force product – they do not last! Does anyone out there no of a good solution?

I have the same problem, every time I go to use the camera it freezes the phone and shuts it off. I have cleared the cache, fully charged it, and am irrigated as this was no cheap phone. I do have an older phone (its 3 years old) and am upset that this is happening. The camera took such great photos. It was one big reason I purchased this phone. Sadly feel nothing is made to last.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your camera. I know how I depend on my phone for just about everything. I'm more than happy to take a deeper look into this to see if we can pinpoint what's going on, this way it can be resolved quickly.

Are your phone and all of the apps installed up to date? When did this issue start? Is this happening when opening the camera app on the phone or the camera option on another app such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.?

I am having the same problem, and the kid at the Verizon store was an butt.  I could not get him to even look at my phone, he just said it was too old and the battery is bad. I persisted, so he looked at it for literally 10 seconds and said yup, it's the battery.  Anyway, can you please help since it is actually a problem with the phone?  Thank you.
