how to do "factory reset" when I couldn't turn my phone on.

Hi,

I just got LG G4 for a replacement due to the original one broken, it totally died, couldn't even turn it on.

I know I have to do "factory reset" to protect my personal info before I send it back but as I stated, it's not turning on.

Anybody knows how to do in this case?? Is it safe just sending it as is?

I wouldn't want to.  You can set it to erase with android device manager, but I would be tempted to run it over with my truck a couple times.

As I know android device manager is useless if the phone is off........

I'm just wondering if it will be ok once I remove the sim card from the defective one.

If so I don't have to worry about that and no problem with just sending it back.

I'd definitely remove the SIM card before sending the phone back (and the SD card, if you have one), and I agree with the earlier response ... I wouldn't want to send a phone back without removing all my personal info.  Since the phone won't turn on, have you tried the alternate method for factory resetting the phone?

I just got the answers from customer service and they said they are gonna wipe it out in the case once it arrives at warehouse.
