I was on wifi at work where notifications never worked unless I used DNSet and did the update. The notifications started working there. Then I went home for lunch where notifications never worked and they worked there. Now I'm back at work and they work again.

I saw that software update for my phone, and it concerns me. It concerns me because i and countless others never had the ISP problem(s) that so many of my/our fellow customers had.
Read the following article:
Comcast's wireless gateways don't play nice with Android 5.0 Lollipop, but Google's on the case
It's just that i've read many posts about those software updates forcing itself into customer's phone(s)
I'm concerned that if VS98524B is forced into my phone, it'll turn my G3 into what for me is a perfectly working phone into a piece of junk.

Ok. I bit the bullet and just installed VS98524B. So far so good. My phone is working just fine, for now.
It looks a whole lot like that update is more for VZW customers that have Comcast as their ISP.

Well I installed the update yesterday as I was having similar problems as discussed by previous posters (no notifications while on Wifi, battery drain, certain apps not working). Comcast is my home ISP as well. Well after updating my LG G3 with this latest update, my phone has never performed better. Notifications are coming through while on Wifi, my battery life is tremendous, I went all day without charging my phone, and now all my apps, including Facebook, are working seamlessly while on Wifi. Now I enjoy Lollipop on my LG G3!

This update doesn't do a thing to fix the wifi issues. I downloaded 24B on a factory reset clean phone twice and it didn't do a thing to improve the wifi. I'm on Crimecast and it's still slow as molasses, just as it was when the phone was first updated with Lollipop. Your notifications will come through alright, but wifi is still useless. This whole fiasco is actually making me think about doing the unthinkable, going back to Apple. As it stands right now, Google can't get their act together with updating these phones properly.

IT seems better. Phone is a little snappier too. I wonder if Comcast service upgrade helped to? Yesterday reset Comcast router and throughput is higher....

Pulled the update down this morning and all of my gripes about Lollipop have gone away. Notifications are now timely and connectivity appears to be restored to normal.

I would suggest resetting your ISPs router and your wifi access point/router if you haven't already done that. I had slow wifi with 23C and now with 24B, it's back to normal speed that I should be getting.

I like seeing all of the responses saying that this update seems to make our G3s better. Before I go ahead and accept any Lollipop updates, is there anyone else out there with input?
