It looks like this update fixes the wifi bug. I uninstalled DNSet and tested by sending my self an email and sending myself a hangout message and they both came through. Finally! Thank you LG!

Not from what I've read. It looks like the update adds a bluetooth button option to the dialer, the HD calling that's Verizon specific, and notification priority levels. Some articles on the update specifically say there is no IPv6 fix and others just do not mention it at all.
Wouldn't expect much for IPv6 fixes until the next major update (if it even comes out and the rumors are to be believed).

From what I have read, there is no major OS update for the G3. It won't be getting 5.1.1. So you are saying Verizon is just going to leave us with a broken phone??

Just installed it. I can't believe it!!! It does not fix the WiFi sync problem.

It wasn't in the posts but after doing the update every gmail notification came back. Maybe LG isn't so bad after all.

Leave your WiFi area and then come back. A lot of the issues had to do with the reconnect. I would see occasional notifications while on WiFi, but it always seemed like just after a reboot.

I went to lunch and came back to my work WiFi. Notifications are still working. And my ISP at work has no working IPv6. Man, I hope it keeps working. It's fooled me into thinking it was fixed before...
