Turn off phone, remove SIM, wait a min, reinsert SIM, turn phone on.  Might just need a refresh.

That's strange. Considering that VZW wants us to use mobile network with the hope that we'll go over our data allotment. Try this out, go to settings, then tap more, then tap mobile networks, then tap system select, then tap lte/cdma. Then try wifi. I hope that helps.
