LorenB, I think the problem we're talking about is outlined pretty well here in all the replies but I'll explain my experience. My G3 was an upgrade through verizon. Never had a problem with screen brightness since new. Always kept it in Auto Brightness 100%. Worked well in all lightning conditions until reboot after install of 35b. Only quick fix I found was to click and unblock the "lower screen brightness" setting under settings and then accessories. The auto setting then appears to work normal until ambient lighting changes significantly. I did a full factory reset which did not help at all. Now I have to use manual mode at about 25% during the day and play with the settings in low light conditions to make the readable. Hope this helps.

Yeah, since 5.1.1. my auto brightness makes the phone way too dim to see in low light. Installed Lux Lite to get me by until LG fixes it, if they do.
