I had to get a new phone today because mine was accidentally dropped in a lake and was not able to be retrieved. I was very surprised that I had to pay $40 just to get a new phone regardless of the fact I am paying each month an amount for the phone. This seems like a rip off to me and deceitful. It's like going to a store and buying a new dress and not only paying for it but also paying $40 because it is new! Rediculous! I have been a Verizon customer since cell phones were introduced many years ago. They always had great customer service but now they are choosing to rip customors off by charging very high prices for phones that people cannot afford so we are stuck paying for it every month for 2 years, and on top of that a $40 fee just to "upgrade" to a new phone. NOT FAIR.
