Which won't happen, they won't give you a new phone and even the refurbished phone might already be updated. Sounds like you'll just have to deal with it how it is until the new update comes out. Which hopefully will be soon. The update can go best if you again factory reset the same way you did before, and then install the update so that's something to consider for when it does. The culprit is Quad HD. I read some reviews before buying the G3. I also read the user reviews.

Before and after the 5.0.1 update, "Screen" always used and still uses more, a lot more, battery on my phone than any other app.
