Lollipop is a good update. Check your battery usage to see what app is eating your battery. Also try a factory reset after backing things up. It's not normal for you to have to charger more than once a day.

Thanks your feedback was on point. I did a factory reset and the update is beautiful. Battery life is also better than ever.

After the reset you're back to running lollipop?

This update is completely horrible.  My Facebook, Instagram, and other apps do not work at all.  The battery drains fast and though I thought the ability to type in exactly what I want in the settings, I haven't found anything on the subjects of looked up.  One being just the basic text messages and how to possibly un-install this update.  If there is a way to un-install please let me know so I am able to and wait for an update that is better.

There is no way to un-do this update.  We will all have to wait on the next update.

Since the upgrade, both my phone and my wife's phone gets an error message when we try to get our email.  Systems says "service temporarily unavailable, try again later".

This is certainly not how the update was intended to perform, scods1018. It can't be uninstalled, but there are some steps you can take to help. After big update like the one to Lollipop, certain parts of the memory system may be altered. The application memory areas may have to be optimized. This can take time and cause the device to temporarily use more battery while the optimization is in progress. If you have particular applications that aren't working, try to go into Play Store > My Apps and making sure all the applications have received their updates recently. Additionally, try going to Settings > Manage Apps and clearing the cache (tap the app, then tap Clear Cache) on some of your more frequently used apps, like Facebook. Some of your downloaded applications may not be optimized for Lollipop (developers don't always update their applications immediately to support new versions) this may also result in higher than normal battery drain until the application is updated or removed too.

Jennifer,

I updated all my apps, then cleared the cache on all of them and then cleared the data on all of them, but still no luck. Whenever I attempt to use the wifi, I get the “server temporarily unavailable, try again later” error.
