Wifi fix for lg g3 after 5.0 update

step 1 turn off wifi

Step 2 turn off cellphone data

Step 3 turn on Airplane mode

Step 4 wait 3 minutes

Step 5 turn wifi back on

Step 6 turn airplane mode off and make sure your wifi is connected.

Step 7 test for improvement, check by loading a few web pages, or loading and playing YouTube videos.

Step 8 if working like it should be turn cell data back on. If not contact Verizon support for further information.

Thank you for the message. Although I occasionally have wifi problem and needing the DNSet. It was slow. I just followed your steps listed. WiFi on my G3 is lightning fast now (over Comcast internet) without DNSet. Will be testing some more other locations before turning Data Network back on. Once again. Thanks.

I would never install anything on my phone that creates a VPN to some unknown destination.

That is just asking for serious trouble.

Not a VPN.  It's DNS.  It does not create a virtual private network, it changes the servers to Google servers.  It does not mask or re-route.

In the description on the Play store it uses the term local VPN.
