The Android L (5.0) update has made my phone fairly unreliable. Is there anyway to roll the phone back to Kit Kat until some of these issues are worked out with lollipop on this device?

We are here to help! We want to make sure that all the right information is always being provided and a doorstop is never placed on any person. What is going on with your phone? Is there anything I can assist with? Although there is no way to revert back to the previous Software, I want to make sure your current phone is working properly.

Google it. Verizon doesn't allow talk of this type on these message boards. I will say it is a rather complicated process and you could end up with a doorstop.

The only issue I am having with my G3 is the notification issue numerous people have also been having since Lollipop. I could easily reset my phone back to KitKat, but so far I have learned to live with delayed notifications from my apps.

I have a Galaxy s5. Since getting Lollipop, I can't get through an album of music without Play crashing multiple times. Unified Daemon crashes as well. My phone quit sharing texts with my car's media system. It is gaudy and slow as well. An iPhone is looking really good right now. How do I get back to Kit Kat 4.4 and a consistently working phone?

You cannot revert back to KitKat without flashing your phone [read: Void Your Warranty!]. The latest scuttlebutt is that LG is aware and working on a 5.1 update. So until then we are stuck. I phones have had their issues as well, i.e. Apple finally acknowledging WiDie (phone loses WiFi connection for no reason). We just take the good with the bad at this point. You'd think in the 21st century this sh*t would be a thing of the past, but you'd be wrong....

I spoke with Verizon yesterday and they conferenced in an LG rep to speak with me about this nightmare. Basically, the LG rep told me that they are indeed working on an update, but a decision has not been made if the next update will be 5.1 or when "it" would be released. She would not say exactly but she hinted that an update of any kind could be weeks (even months) away. So, for the ones having issues, we are stuck with horrible phones and no solutions.

5.1 and 5.1.1 have already been sent out. So it's no longer in Google's hands. It's now up to the OEMs (the cellphone manufacturers) to send out the updates.
If and when the OEMs send out the updates, then and only then, will the ball be in VZW's court.

Verizon corporate support told me at least 3 months on 5.1.1, and the WiFi sync fix.
