How an I increase the ear piece volume?

I cannot figure out how to boost the volume on my phone.  I can barely hear on my end of my end.  I have no problem hearing the other person.

Any recommendations?

The in-call volume is adjusted with the volume buttons while you are on the call.

How do you use it?  The only thing you can adjust on the in-call volume is the loudness be pressing the volume keys while you are on an active call.
