Gingerbread update made phone slow

Hey i downloaded the 2.3 update and after that i noticed two things one after the update most of my ram was used up and i dont have any apps downloaded and second if i turn off my phone and the power was under 50% then when i turn the phone back on the soft keys wont light untill i charge the phone back up to more then 50%. so i was woundering if anybody has the same issues?

Mine is running slow on home screen and Pandora takes over 10 seconds to switch channels or songs where it was very fast. Another issue is when I get a call it wont show who it is now, I have to answer it to find out and that is just no good.

 I did not download GB it was forced on my phone, Friday night when I was eating dinner I saw phone light up and then showed downloading. My wife didn't do her Revo because we wanted to wait for reviews and come Monday they pushed it to hers. This is not right as I came from Fascinate which took a crap after I downloaded the 2.2 Froyo to it so now I just wanted to wait and they forced it on my phone.
