I am long time Philly suburbs resident and long time Verizon user. Simple question for members I hope- Traveling soon to Europe for river boat cruise through Hungary, Austria, Germany etc. Have Travel Pass on phone and ipad. Ship has wifi service. Does anyone know whether using wifi triggers the $10/day travel pass fee? Thanks.

You bring up a great question, tjcmb! We know that it is important to know how your TravelPass works before you travel. The TravelPass is triggered by cellular usage, meaning that only calls, text messages, and data used on your network without Wi-Fi will trigger a 24-hour session. We do recommend placing your device on Airplane Mode if you do not wish to trigger a TravelPass so that you do not use your phone's services on a cellular network. Does this help? Please let us know if you have any additional questions on your traveling needs.
