Hallo there....
I am in the UK with a Verizon HTC M8,, trying to use a SIM from local network Three. The phone does not recognise my SIM - a little sim icon with a question mark at the top of the screen - and although through trial and error I have made data work and sms, after 4.4 this phone will no longer allow me to edit APN details. This means I cannot tether, I think, which is what I really need to do.
This is a great phone, and I love the extra memory on the Verizon model. But without the versatility of full APN access it is no use to me as I travel a lot.
So... can anyone help?
And if not would anyone like to swap my phone for a non-Verizon HTC M8 or something newish by Samsung? Seriously, this is driving me bananas.
thanks for reading.

I know how important it is to be able to use your phone while traveling luke10001. I appreciate you trying those steps. Have you changed the network mode to Global once the local SIM is in the phone? If you have and it still doesn't work, contact our Global Department please. http://vz.to/17KseUf

I have heard of this before and tethering or mhs features won't work. Good idea that you are looking for another device
