Touchscreen not working in multiple spots along right side of screen

Been fighting this problem hoping it would correct itself for the past week+ Well, it hasn't. I know I need to exchange the device just worried about losing all of my information. I am NOT rooted, which will limit my options as far as backing it up. Anyone have any recommendations for backup apps so I lose the least amount of data possible? Also is anyone else having this issue? It came outta nowhere, haven't dropped the phone at all, I use invisishield and a case to protect it. I also have a light leak at bottom of screen so not sure if it has something to do with that. Thanks-
