As far as restarting the phone. What is the official time period.
1. Once a day.
2. Twice a day. (Morning then Night.
3. Three times a day. Morning , Noon then Night.

Restarting the Thunderbolt doesn't always bring back the data connection for me. Perfect example, which has happened twice to me so far. I had no data connection, toggled airplane mode= no help, restarted the phone = no help. Twice now, I've had to pull the battery out and restart the phone to get it to work properly again. I don't know if its just my phone, HTC in general or the OTA updates that have screwed my phone up. I'm waiting out for the Nexus Prime. Hopefully that will be a better phone. I've read too many times on forums about people having switched out their Thunderbolts 4 and 5 times and that is just ridiculous for a phone to have this many problems.
