Just got the new update

FYI the rollout has begun! 13.5 MB download and my Tbolt is updated to 2.11.605.5

Didnt even have to manually search for it. Started automatically and took maybe 15 minutes to complete. Voice mail issue and other bugs noted have been resolved.

Now that T-bolt is getting it's update:  HTC needs to send some Update ^^^^ Love   to us Incredible owners to fix the iggies on them as well.  mine likes to brain fart! shut down that is on the second to 3rd picture i try to take with it. An it likes to come back on when i shut it off. i guess it's telling me i messing with your head you old Fart. has any one had one of those moments it seems to come more an more these Days.... i guess its cost of having these little gadgets. I have been trying to get the update since last night and when I try I get the "Error Service Unavailable" popup.

From what I am reading, they are pushing the update out to T-bolts that had the original update to 2.3, then to handsets with 2.2.

Are you saying that T-Bolt users that got the first Gingerbread OTA update that came out at the end of September will get it first?  I am one of the T-Bolt users that actually got the first Gingerbread OTA update and all I get is the Service Unavailable" error each time I click Check New under Sotware Updates (I do get the "Checking for new software" notice).

Maybe Verizon should quit being so trigger happy with these releases.  I know that they understand how frustrated we are with the lack of updates and the urgency to release them...but I would rather them release the update to ALL Tbolt users rather than release it for an hour then pull it back (which is what it seems like they are doing now).  Seriously considering rooting my phone now.  This is ridiculous...

They generally do staggered rollouts in order to reduce server load so everyone won't get it all at once.  Some are able to pull it manually but that seems to be a coin flip.  If you're really impatient, you can always google for the 605.5 RUU and install that way but note that it will wipe your device.

I am patient. I am patient. At least that is what I keep reminding myself. I rejected the first update because I wanted to factory reset my Tbolt before installing the update. By the time, I was able to do the reset, the update was pulled and I couldn't pull it down anymore.

Crossing my fingers that it doesn't get pulled again.

For anyone getting the update, please let us know if you are getting the full 146 MB update or the smaller ~14 GB update so we know which update they are pushing.  I've seen a bunch of people getting the smaller update to upgrade from the previous GB update that got pulled but I haven't seen any indications that the full 146 GB update is being pushed yet.  Thanks.!
