That would make way too much sense.  HTC is known for cramming the smallest battery possible into their phone which makes them look worse on the battery than they really are.

i saw that this morning. if you click the link to the specs and details on this article, there are some great videos to watch. unfortunately, i'm tired of watching the rumors, checking out the videos, and seeing the commercials nightly (both the verizon and the htc one) on my local cable programming. the rumors about the battery keep getting worse and every week they delay this thing is a week closer to other (bionic) that i may just end up wating for....  :smileysad:   also....still NO word on the LTE price plans. if this is really only a week away, then i'd think verizon would at least be able to tell us what the data will cost.

edit* my bad...my link in the text was the same as yours. i was trying to link http://www.gottabemobile.com/2011/02/23/htc-thunderbolt-details-review-hands-on-video-roundup/

HTC, according to the latest stats, is leading Moto and all other android manufacturers in sales. That is surprising, considering all the advertising for the Moto Droid phones. There must be a reason for that. I am interested in what HTC offers and specifically the Thunderbolt.

Waiting for it to come out to get one in my hands in person at the store.

it's likely just because HTC has so many more androids. if i had to guess, there are probably about 25 models of htc androids being used. motorola is heavy with verizon (about 5 models), but i don't believe they have offered much (until recently maybe) for other carriers.

also, while it will be faster and a bit different, you can go play with an EVO to get a feel of senseUI and the size and asthestics of the thunderbolt. if you've never played around with one, it's a NICE device and will give you a good idea of what the tbolt will feel like.

Will the Thunderbolt or Bionic have NFC?   If not is it possible that can be added with an update or is that a hardware issue and would need to be on the phone release day?

I believe that there is a hardware component needed for NFC to work.

NFC has to be built into the hardware and I have heard of nothing about it being included in either of these phones, plus they would need to be running Gingerbread and, because I just woke up I can't remember what they will have at release (I think it's Froyo).

My post was shorter. Yours was more informative :smileyhappy:
