You can group text. Download GO SMS. Group texting is stock on my Maxx, but my wife's Note didn't come with it. Moto seems to alsways iinclude it. Samsung doesn't like to include it as it wasn't on the S3 either. I don't really know about HTC doing group text or not, never owned one, but I would most definitely buy the One.

It gets better. I can even send MMS w/o needing to be connected to wifi or mobile network.

i can group text on my note ii and my wife's gs3. it's standard with samsung's messaging app. it's actually pretty nice because there are 2 tabs. when a group text comes in, i can either reply to all, or select the other tab and the reply will only go to the sender....not the entire group. you should check out your wife's note again. it should work.
