the HTC One is said to be coming to Verizon on July 15th so this situation makes total sense that they are just paving the way for the One. i hope they announce the release date for the One next week so we know.

No, The One is speculated to come on the 15th. And it's extremely poor speculation at that.

My sources are telling me mid November now.

yeah.  at first, my sources were saying September.  Now, all they say is "before the year is over".  Pathetic.

@mk7se @nneptune I hate to be rude, but what are earth are y'all babbling about?

The proof is in the pudding. The HTC One will be on Verizon before the summer ends. September would be the latest.

Sorry, but until Verizon sets a date nothing is set in stone.   Verizon said at one point that my DINC2 would get ICS and that has yet to happen.  Verizon was completely ill prepared for the HTC One.  I honestly don't think they had any idea how popular the phone would be.  it's as though they never talked to HTC about the upcoming phone.  My thoughts are that upper management are apple or Samsung fans.

Anyhow, I have the One on AT&T and I really like the phone.  It just is an all around nice phone.  I am sure you can say that about the SG 4 too, but the One is perfect for my tastes.

Some of you may have heard that AT&T will probably have the HTC One Mini and what will Verizon have...  Just another deer in the head lights look   .

Hardly babbling, sir.  Just telling you what is being told to me.  I hope for everyone's sake that it is out in July.

Like I've been saying.  Verizon would never say they were "NOT" going to carry the One.  But they are in no hurry either.  Each month they string us along, is more money in their pocket.

If they don't have a phone I like by December, I'll move my wife and I off Verizon and on to AT&T.  It will have the added bonus of saving me money due to "triple play" savings, as I'm already a U-Verse customer.

I'm still waiting for my Xoom LTE to be updated to Jelly Bean.  Verizon has the absolute worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune to experience.

One time I had an old flip phone with the stupid telescoping plastic antennas that kept breaking.  I stopped by the kiosk at the mall where I bought the darn thing in the first place.  They looked at it and told me that I had to drive across town to the only service center (at that time).  I told them to keep the phone and I'm out of there.  The next day, FedEx had me sign for a package.  It was my phone STILL BROKEN!  They had the manager drive across town to have my phone EXPRESSED MAILED TO ME STILL BROKEN!  Verizon went the extra steps to make sure I was still an UNHAPPY customer!  How's that for customer service?  This is a true story.  I did get the issue fixed when I called the customer service center.  But really????

while i think they should have got the One, i wouldn't suggest that they don't know what they are doing.

i guarantee they new exactly how popular it would be, just like they knew how popular the gs2 would be when they passed it up. they gave us a galaxy nexus instead. just like they knew how popular the Evo was. they gave us an LTE version instead (tbolt). they know what they're doing. their market researchers don't get paid to take guesses. i like the One, but it will get buried in sales by the s4. that's just a fact so i'm guessing they focused on it while they are bringing some variant of the One to verizon. "if" they were to somehow throw an htc butterfly2 our way, this thread would be mute, as it's much more impressive in my opinion. this is the same company that passed on the iphone exclusivity and let at&t have it. INSANE, right? not really. they picked it up a few years later to add to their lineup of androids, which had already captured the market share. they new android was the future before anyone else did. they know what they're doing. will they tick off some customers? sure. but you can never please all of your customers all of the time.
