"Actually if his contract is up July 30th his upgrade was March 30th."

Dat, right dere

I've already been waiting; I could have upgraded, but to what? The DNA, a phone that's 6 months out of cycle when I could jump to another carrier and have either an S4 or HTC One in-hand?

I'm willing to hold out until the end of my contract, but do I really expect Verizon to change? No. Likely some announcement will come that the DNA 2 is coming soon, and it won't be released until November. Frankly my phone (yes, I own the original Droid RAZR) is about ready to keel over, and I don't see the point in waiting another 5-6 months on a hope and a prayer.

That leaves me with leaving Verizon, since there only seem to offer exclusives - or only get phones a month+ later than everyone else. I like the service, but I'm willing to sacrifice the service for having OPTIONS. shrug

AT&T was really bad here, but they were going to build up a bit around here.

I think maybe I should have stayed.  I really loved that phone. <also shrugs>

I had the T-Mobile HTC One for about a week.  The phone is absolutely beautiful, work of art, and that screen is fantastic. Front facing speaker are also cool.  However, T-Mobile service is abissmal, nothing at all at my house so had to return.

Had hoped they would announce the One at CTIA, but that was the most racial and pointless announcement that I have ever seen in my life.

My contract is up 26 days, and I will likely be moving to AT&T since they have decent coverage in my area.  Either going to pick up another One or the S4 Google Edition, neither of which I can get on Verizon, since they don't seem to care what consumers want.

@Klue Verizon hasn't announced the One phone yet you were able to go to Verizon outlet and handle it? Either you're trolling or you're mistaken on the provider store you visited.

Yeah, he probably meant one of the other three...I'm guessing Sprint.

I played with one at AT&T store and it was lovely. Fit and finish was good, i was looking for the defects @Klue mentioned and it was free of defects.

I'm guessing you meant a store other than Verizon? Smiley Happy But yeah, I handled one that a friend has and it feels absolutely wonderful; solid build, well designed and comfortable. I just don't like the way the Galaxy feels in my hand, and while I love the specs on the Xperia Z I'm also turned off by the squareness (got to handle one in the Sony store here in NYC). It feels more like a tile than a phone, and this is coming from a RAZR user.  There are no smooth edges at all on that thing.

Meh. It should only cost me $65 to break my Verizon contract, if so it might be worth making the move before this month is up.  I'll miss Verizon's service, but I've grown tired of having either limited phone choices, or having to wait last in line for the flagships.  A DNA 2 with One specs would be pretty...but with my phone on the decline, I really don't feel like holding out until the end of Q3.

Then again, if I buy TMob off-contract I could always ebay it, and jump back on V at the end of the year if I'm unhappy with the service. Win-win!

Well it's pretty much official. Verizon is NOT getting a One anytime soon.

Here's a quote from HTC from here.

http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/why-no-htc-one-on-verizon-micro...

"At CTIA 2013 we had a chance to sit down with HTC and ask them just that. Senior Global Online Communications Manager Jeff Gordon -

As for the lack of love from Verizon, Gordon couldn't say as much."It's  always a great thing to have our phones on as many operators as  possible, but we've got nothing to announce in terms of Verizon."

In the past, Verizon has always carried Droid-branded devices from HTC. It carried the HTC Droid DNA, but not the HTC One X or the One X+. Perhaps it wanted its own special version of the One and HTC wasn't willing to comply?"

I don't know what to do now. My Inc. is getting worse and worse. I don't want apple or Samsung. I don't want a Sony "one off", and the DNA is 6 months old. I can't wait til Nov.

Verizon, tell me what I should do. Have your CEO come on here and tell us why you are not carrying phones in a timely manner and why you decided against carrying the best phone of 2013.

Surely moderators you can get the attention of the CEO. Or give us email addresses please.

I guess it's time to look at the ATT coverage map. and close my accounts.

Why are you assuming it's Verizon's fault? Did you blame Verizon when at&t was the only one that sold Iphone because they signed an exclusive deal with Apple? Did you blame Verizon when At&t singed an exclusive deal to sell the Lumina 920? I'm not claiming to know the reason why this phone isn't on Verizon but you don't either so to just to blame Verizon without facts is just being a obtuse.

Yeah my Inc is also acting up.  Sad no phone interested me enough to upgrade until the ONE.  I guess I will do the minutes plan on AT&T to test the service like I should of done weeks ago.  The coverage between Boston and Providence looks great  and a coworker has AT&T with 4G at our work location.  I'll talk to AT&T to see my trial options as I don't want to port my number until I commit and decide how many lines to move over.  I would reluctantly give in and look at the S4 32GB, but of course our carrier doesn't offer it (yet?).

I was deeply disappointed at the announcement, but I can't fault our carrier for misleading us.  It seems the websites are working overtime to create rumors to get traffic and HTC is probably liking the extra coverage.  Did I misread that their new service will offer lots of device choices (lol), not sure what that means.

My bad, it's actually a Verizion, AT&T, and T-Mobile store combined in the same room at Wall Mart
