Google location update?

I've had this phone for one week now and I love it, but I noticed that the Google mobile homepage is not updating the location.  I have the Google location services checked and have tried having all the location services on, but nothing seems to be working.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  Is it common?  I love this phone very much, but this is driving me nuts.  My last smart phone was very entry level and always picked up my location (even with GPS off).

Please help!

Thanks

Adrienne

Unfortunately this wonderful phone has known problems with Location Services.  They are supposedly working on it.  You will have to manually set your location.

Thanks to both of you.  I went into the Google site from my phone and the location was turned off.  When I turned it on, it unfortunately didn't work.  The good news is, when I went to my phone internet setting, there was another "enable location" option under security that was also turned off, once I turned that on I was good to go.  Apparently there are 3 different places on this phone where location settings must be turned on to get that little blue spot to work.

Thanks again for your help!

I am sorry that you are so frustrated.  Can I suggest you find a way to become more familiar with the Android operating system.  Perhaps either online or thru classes at your local Verizon store.

Many, if not most, Android applications have no concept of "Exit" or "Quit".  You need to learn to use your HOME and BACK keys.  Tap on HOME once whenever you wish to get back to your home screen.  Tap on HOME twice to see icons for currently and recently run applications.  Tap on BACK to go to what you were previously doing.  Some applications do have an "Exit" or "Quit" option that is accessed by tapping the MENU key while you are in the application.  Sometimes you will need to select "More" from the menu before you see the "Exit" or "Quit" option.  When there is no such option in an application then just tap HOME once or twice or BACK to leave the app.  Android will take care of exiting the application and cleaning up for you (in most cases).
