We value your loyalty and wouldn't want to see you go anywhere else. We want to make sure you stay in the Verizon family and can rely on things. The phone will default to cellular service if the phone thinks the signal is strong enough. I know the problem with that is that if the service is borderline it may sometimes pick wrong. There is a way around this. You can put the phone in airplane mode and then connect to Wi-Fi. As the cellular network won't be an option, any calls you make will need to go over Wi-Fi Calling.
