I have a google pixel running Android 7.1.2
Until earlier this week, I was able to see contact names in text messaging. Now, all I see is phone numbers - no names.
Cleared cache in settings - a suggestion for android phones in general. Did not help.
Any suggestions?

Let's make sure you can easily manage your contacts in your messaging app. What application are you using? You may have to provide the app with permission to view the contacts. It would be best to go to Settings>Apps>Pick the messaging app>Permissions>Enable Contacts. Please keep me updated on the status.
Thank you,

This problem began occurring for me suddenly this week (6/20/19) in both "Message+" and the "Phone" apps. Both have all permissions enabled.

ROM1, we definitely want to ensure that contact names are properly displayed in your messaging apps. Help is here. Have you made any recent changes to your phone? How do you store contacts on your phone? Looking forward to hearing back.
