The display seems to have moved down the screen slightly on my Pixel 2xl. How do I move it back?

To begin, what applications of the phone does this happen with, or is it on the main screen as well? What do you see in place of where the screen/image would be on the display (black screen, repeat image of another section of the screen, etc.)? What recent updates or changes have you made on the phone or has been prompted to you (software update, new case, etc.)?
