I dont understand why a hi tech new device would be available to personal or business users if it could not utilize the services offered.   Is there any plan to work the device in the ability to use PTT ?

If not then i guess these devices will have to go back,  any hope ?

Thank you.

Didn't you check before you bought them?  Can't always assume something will work.

Well actually I did check,  I'm very new to Verizons way of doing things after 24 years with sprint.

With that being said lol there are dedicated push to talk phones and then there is the rest.  With sprint you just subscribed and it worked,  they didn't have a list of phones that were in compatible with their network. Or they would probably have to list them all because it just seemed like there was always something.

I looked at this phone extensively and no place does it say that it don't do ptt unless you happen to stumble across the incompatible list of phones re ptt.

Keep in mind 2 things.  Before I went with Verizon I had aquired 2 Verizon Droid turbo 2s that were brand new so when I finally had enough of Sprint I BYOD and ported my number and subscribed to ptt and it worked flawlessly.

Once the droids were loaded down with all the apps and everything it was pretty doggy so I started looking at devices and I chose the Pixle 4a 5gUW.

Just a week ago it was one of the featured phone on the business side as well so I went with it.  One of the first things I tried to get working and tried to resubscribe to was ptt and it was no where to be found.

The pixle is a fantastic device and I thought shurly a company like Verizon wouldn't market a phone as technically capable as the pixle is on the business side that was Not capable of utilizing all of the services offered,  I was wrong.  Ptt is not a over complex operation and it is available to Any phone on the market through 3rd party apps with the good ones of coarse being paid subscriptions.  I can get it elsewhere just not thru Verizon  and I refuse to accept that.  I'd make a wager that if they put it on the network with ptt that it would work just fine.  Nobody seems to know a thing about it.

Years ago Nextell had a good thing going,  before sprint got a hold of them.  The ptt was on the IDEN network and as it got congested IDEN was reserved for police and fire,  that's where ptt went to garbage,  over the years it has been greatly improved if not better in certain ways using 4g.

I own a small trucking company hauling asphalt on interstate roads and city streets,  ptt makes instant comunications during dumping on the fly operations with ground personell a snap.  It also makes it much safer to comunicate while on the move where dialing a no and listening for someone to answer and having a device stuck to the side of my head is just not for me,  not when I am driving a truck that weighs a 100k.

You're right ,  business has taught me one thing,  assume nothing.

Its hard to learn something when that info is not that easy to find.

Who did you ask that said it would work?  There are some nice android forums online and people know stuff like this before buying a phone.  My friend has I don't know what model pixel but is not crazy about it and always has issues.  I like my Samsung note 10 plus and no issues.  Used to always like LG but had issues with my LG G6 so went for Samsung this time and have been very happy.  I asked a ton of questions before I bought on features I wanted and got so much nice help from other users on android forums.

Samsung has been delivering great phones for a while now.  My phone of choice is the sonim xp8  it is a rugged duty phone that just works good no matter if its under water or getting run over on the shop floor  when I came over sprints xp8 sonim was a No go on Verizon.  As far as the Pixles go I can still bring this back under the no worrys guarentee ,  the thing I'm faced with now is the samsung xcover pro is not available now and the sonim xp8 are full price so I will more than likely just turn them back in and go get something off the market.

I hope somebody from Verizon reads this.

When I decided that I would buy these pixels computer screen said 24 months $5 a month and the retail price was reduced to  119.99 when I buy the phone accept agreement that  119.99 is no longer their ,  kind of a bait-and-switch move it went to five hundred and some dollars and I thought that wasn't right.

When I questioned the agent about it he said the price goes up like that so you don't pay the devices off at that low price and take off to another carrier.

I buy my phones at best buy.  My note 10 plus was on sale for $700 with device payments. Bought it on payments then 2  months later paid the remaining balance off in full then I am free to do what I want with it or move to another carrier.  I usually do it that way so seldom have payments for 2ys.
