I do not get a notification when I have a voicemail. My wife has the same phone and her notifications work. Is there a way to turn this on and off, maybe I did this by mistake. I have tried going into my voicemail and turning on the pager notification and this still does not solve the problem.

Try turning on and then off the visual voicemail setting in the dialer application on the Pixel phones.

WILPAY22, not knowing when you have a new voicemail is definitely not okay. We're here to help resolve this. When did this start happening to you? Are you getting missed call notifications? Have you recently made any changes to your device?
