It's 2am, my phone is disconnected, and I can't get the service I desperately need!

I tried my SIM card in a friends phone just to help her see if her phone was Verizon compatible, and now my SIM is suspended?? This is a HUGE problem! I'm on-call with work, and I can't leave my office if my phone isn't active. The 611 number didn't work, nor the the re-connect function on myverizon. Phone support isn't available at this hour, and none of the chat support is working. Someone please help!

It's not a good idea to swap a sim into a device that isn't yours. You set off a red flag so now your account thinks there is fraud involved. Next time use the IMEI checker that major carriers have online.

Unfortunately, you're going to have to speak with Fraud.

It sounds to me more like that you tried the Sim card in a phone it was blacklisted. Swapping your Sim card into a non-Verizon phone does not have this result. But swapping your Sim card into a phone which has blacklisted, which means reported lost or stolen is going to now associate your Sim card with a blacklisted IMEI.
Yes, you’re going to have to contact Verizon and have them put your old IMEI from your correct phone back on your line.
Don’t go sticking things in the places they don’t belong. It’s true with forks and light sockets, also with Sim cards
