Hello. I have a Razr with gmail and corporate sync email accounts. The gmail works fine, but the corporate sync account will not send messages. I get a "message not sent" error. It receives them without any problem. Thanks in advance for any help!

Good Afternoon gonke,
I would be frustrated too if I was unable to send corporate e-mails. I would like to ask you some probing questions to be able to better assist you.
- Are you using outlook?
- How long has the problem been occuring? Were you ever able to send e-mails before?
- Are there others in your organization having the same difficulties with a similar e-mail setup on an Android device?
I have attached a link below to help you check your corporate e-mail settings.

Dear Jonathan,
Thank you for your response.
I checked my setting against the link you sent and everything seems to be
in order.
I met with our company phone people yesterday and they do not know why I
cannot send out email. They say all of my settings are correct for the
server and domain.
Yes, we do use Outlook.
I just got this phone 2 weeks ago and the outgoing email has never worked
for my corporate account.
I don't know of anyone else here who has this same phone and the phone guys
had never heard of this problem before (but he had never worked with this
phone either). He suggested that I contact the provider.
Thanks so much-
Missy (aka gonke)

it's an issue with the smtp server address.
fwiw:
my cox pop3 email tries to use xxx@cox.net for username on the smtp server setup page because that's my email address.
in my case is just xxx, for username, not @cox.net & the password remains the same.
cox requires secure & authentication, not sure about yours.
hope this helps.

Hello Missy!
Thank you for your response! The good news is, we know the issue is not with the phone, because you can send from Gmail. When you can not send from a specific email address we know that it has to do with the settings or the actual server. I will include two links that help you verify the setup is correct. You may want to verify these with your IT department. Sometimes, the email sets up automatically without you entering all the details of the server settings. You can go back in and edit these. Also, have you tried sending an email to yourself, or more then one user? We want to make sure it is not a specific person you cannot send to.

Dear Katie-
Thank you for your email. Yes, I have double checked all this and my IT
people have looked at it and say the settings are correct. I have tried
multiple emails, but cannot send out mail to any of them. My email is
synched properly and I can read it, I just can't respond.
Very frustrating.

email sets up automatically if you select auto, most recommendations are to do it manually.
