no service/SD card removed

My phone randomly keeps saying that i have no service and that my SD card is removed which then essentially allows me to do nothing with it. It happens randomly throughout the day. Once i restart my phone it's alright for a little while. Any idea why or how to fix this?

If you are getting a no service it's possible your service area is shaky.  You could try putting it in 3G only (Menu>Settings>Wireless & Network Settings>Mobile Networks>Network Mode : CDMA Only) and seeing if that helps.  If you know you're in a good coverage area, try booting it in Safe Mode and see if that solves the problem. It will only load essential stock apps so you won't see some of your other programs but it will help you to tell if those may be the problem.

I don't know about the SD card being removed.  Sometimes there's an error about the SIM card but that's usually related to a poor connection.  I'm not familiar with the SD card error.
