Not sure if this is the best way, but what I would do is attach my Razr to my PC and copy the music files from the PC to it.
They should be DRM free (I think?) and one of these types... MP3, M4A, AAC,ACC+, MIDI, and WAV.

I bought an app called iSyncr and iSyncr wifi to do that. It will sync your music AND the playlists to your phone, and with the wifi add on, it will do it over wifi if you want. It comes with a scheduler, I used to sync my music every night at around 2:00 AM when I am at home and it is plugged in. It will also take the music that you purchase from other places like Amazon up to iTunes for you at the same time. It is not too expensive, but it worked great.
Hello moorefour! It wold be my pleasure to provide you with the necessary steps to transfer music to your Razr HD device. The instructions below work for all Android devices as well.
•Mount your Android phone as an external USB drive. Plug the Android into your computer using the included USB cable. Select MENU>NOTIFICATIONS>USB CONNECTION>USB MASS STORAGE.
•Open the USB drive by going to My Computer > Removable Drive (Windows) or double-clicking the drive icon on your desktop (Mac).
•Open the computer folder containing your music. Often this is your iTunes folder, or a folder called Music on your hard drive. Highlight and drag all the music from your computer onto the removable disk (Android). You may have to wait several minutes while your computer copies the music over to your phone. Please keep in mind that DRM (digital rights management)-protected music files may not work on your device due copy right issues.
•Disable USB MASS STORAGE on your Razr HD. Select MENU>NOTIFICATIONS>USB CONNECTION>CHARGE ONLY.
•Unplug the USB cable.
