how do I block a number

I need help blocking a number that keeps calling me but does not speak, if I try to call the number they say they are having difficulties and hang up.

What I do is add the number to my address book and then use the setting All calls to voice mail. There are several 3rd party apps to block calls...check the Google Play Store. You can also go onto My Verizon and block a number for, I think, six months for free...which should be long enough for them to get the message.

Hello Lyndadoggett- If you have a "My Verizon" account set up you can go in there to block a number. Granted, it will only keep it for three months I believe, but you can then put it in again. I have used this several times and after the three months I never get a call from those numbers again. I hope this helps.

2 good suggestions but if the Calling Persists i'd change the Number and that can be either done by Calling Customer Service or by Going to My Verizon and Doing the Number change there.. b33

I would NOT change my number. There is no reason why you cannot block this number through My Verizon or a 3rd party App. There is also legal recourse to harassing or nuisance calls. If you change your number there is no reason why this caller couldn't just find your new number unless you go through the trouble of having it listed as private or unlisted. You shouldn't have to go to that extreme either.

True Ref but if it get's To annoying then you have to Change Directions and i almost Done that and may still have too and that's why i suggested it.. Sometimes one's don't know when to stop pestering even though you tell them your not the one there Looking For..

Put an app on your phone from Google Play called NQ Call Block. You can block calls texts and picture messages with this app and it is blocked as long as you want it blocked.
