Thank you for your answer. you're the first nicest person to respond.
guess the only thing to do is wait then, although it drives me crazy.

You're not alone in that. It's driving all of us that do not have it yet crazy. I have tried not to be constantly hitting my Check for Updates button on my phone, but I am finding that I am spending a LOT of time on these forums trying to get new information about the update. I can't wait to get the update, not because I think it's really going to change my phone a whole lot, but because I want to be able resume normal life and not be worrying about when I will get Ice Cream Sandwich anymore. But even in the waiting, I know that it will be here soon, and my phone is working fine without the update, so I can afford to wait a little longer.

I have two phones a Razr for my daughter and Razr Maxx for me. She got the update at 2am this morning I am still waiting, we are in SouthWest Ohio. Her phone was purchased two weeks ago, mine is several months older. This rollout makes no sense and is nothing but frustrating at the very least. So far she has had no issues with ICS.

Is it entirely possible that the battery issue they report has to do with the fact that after you get the update you play around with it for several hours?? just sayin'...My battery is getting lower (not "low"), but I haven't put this down for like 2 hours now...

Exactly... Like you are going to use the phone the same way you did before you got the update. You want to play around with everything, check it out, etc...
Reports like that make me wonder though..

I have a Razr Maxx, and I haven' t recieved ICS update neither. When I had the Droid 2 there was a major update coming I called Verizon and the rep. told me that it will be rolling out to phones per build date. Might be this is what is happening now.
