can i check my texts online?

My phone isn't working after installing KitKat. Verizon is sending me a new phone tomorrow, but my LED light on my current phone shows that I have a text. The text probably won't come through on the phone I get tomorrow, so I want to know if its possible to check my texts some other way.

AntonioC_VZW how exactly are they supposed to "download, install and run" an app on a phone that ISN'T WORKING???????????
