I had 3G-only HTC Incredible 2 before I lost it. I had an unlimited data plan for it.
Now I want to buy a used Droid Razr, which uses 4G.
I never thought about this before ordering, but I'm wondering if buying it will affect my unlimited data plan.
Would Verizon require me to change my data plan to usage-based, or can I keep my unlimited data plan?
I'm a heavy data user (I use at least 6-7 GBs a month), so I definitely wouldn't like the idea of using 5GB data plan.

This is not totally correct, the OP said that they want to buy a used Razr, which would not be considered an upgrade.
The only thing that will kill your unlimited plan after June 28th is to do a subsidized upgrade through Verizon or any other vendor that offers phones and contracts. It is the fact that you are signing a new contract is what voids your unlimited plan.
To the OP, where would you buy the used Razr?

Hi snr914,
Thanks to the community for your input! NuDroidUsrr is correct. If you are purchasing this used RAZR from a friend, family member, or third party, and not accepting a discount from Verizon Wireless for the phone, then you would be able to keep unlimited data. In this case, there is no contract, and it's basically just a phone swap on your phone. This, is, of course, since you already had the unlimited data on the line. Thanks very much for your post!

These moderators, and most CS Reps do not know when things will roll out like the ICS update. You need to be patient with these things, you will get the update...
