Worse and worse

This is getting ridiculous.

Every few days, something else stops working on my RAZR MAXX since the ICS update.

First it was trying to watch videos online.  Apparently, Flash is no longer supported, or some such BS (though it was working just fine for the first 2 weeks since ICS)

As of two days ago, I can no longer access the Google Play Store to download apps or ANY internet site using ANY browser (stock, DolphinHD, Puffin, Firefox, etc.)

I have a strong signal for Wi-Fi (I should.  I'm sitting 3 feet from the router!), and the phone says it's connected to the router, but it acts like it can't/won't access Wi-Fi and is only attempting to use 3G (which barely has a signal where I'm at.  Forget 4G here.  Ain't happening).  Occasionally I'll get the message "Data Connection Error" but usually the phone will just sit there trying to connect.

This is getting so frustrating!  ICS acts more like a virus than an operating system.  Reminds me of Microsoft ME.

I hear you mike - it's been frustrating. Try these steps - cache wipe first. That may be all that's needed but from what I've been seeing most people have opted to do the FDR. IF you do the FDR pay particular attention to the part about how to stop Google from automatically restoring your apps/data...very important part.

I've done the FDR, with cache wipe, four or five times since getting ICS, each time manually restoring my email/apps/etc.  Did it again about 45 before posting here.  I can't even connect to MyVerizon to check what my data usage is.

Now the phone is giving the message "Connection Error.  Make sure you have a data connection and try again."

That's not good at all. Have you considered doing another FDR, same process, but restoring incrementally? An App or two at a time? It's possible that you've gotten a hold of one that isn't ICS friendly...next step would be getting a CLN replacement.

Let me clarify just a bit...

Since the FDR that I performed earlier this morning nothing has been restored other than my contacts.  I haven't tried setting up email, and I can't download any apps whatsoever because the phone will not connect to the internet.  The closest it's gotten so far is when I tried to use the stock browser.  It got as far as the Google.com home page, but when I try to do anything from there, even sign in to my account, it just sits there.  Even after 10 minutes, the progress bar is no more than 3/4 of the way across.

Well, sonofabiscuit...

Sometime today, while I was busy doing other things, this silly phone decided to start working again!  Even the issue I'd been having with videos not playing has corrected itself!  Go figure.

Pessimist that I am, all I can say is: I wonder how long it will be before something goes wrong!

Well, that didn't take long.  Video stopped working again yesterday.
