Did you search these forums? There have been a few of them lately that have the same problem, and the solutions were mentioned in them.
Are you using original wall charger and cable?
If yes, try a soft reset, hold the volume down and the power button for 10 seconds to see if it restarts.

My phone just did the same thing the battery went dead and my phone never turned back on, I tried many differant chargers, I tried the power button with the volume key down, but nothing worked for mine. I had to have verizon send me a new phone they said it was something with my charger port.

Mine did the same thing but, I was able to figure out what was going on by thinking back to what I had done with my phone recently. If you have connected a USB cable from your phone to a computer, tablet, television or any other device recently;
Once you connected the USB cable to both devices an icon will appear on your phone asking what to do with the connection, would you like to use it for charge only, mass storage, system spped boost...ect. If you selected any of the options other than charge only, your phone will stay on that option & when the battery completely discharges & dies on you, once you connect any charger that has a USB port on one end, is not going to be recognized as a charger by your phone, it will be recognized as a mass storage connection, media transfere connection or whatever you selected the last time you connected a USB cable. I hope I explained this in a way that it is understood easily. Hope this helps you if not now, possibly in the future

One thing i want to reiterate Jenny it's not really a good thing to Charge the Device by any other means than the Charger that came with as it Designed for the Device specifically Motorola may have put the that type of charge cord in with phone but it's best to stay with the Box charger..
Have a Look at these Tips: that i put on the Post some time ago

I never said I charged the phone with any other charger! My phone came with
a charger that also serves as a USB media cable as well!! I was saying if
you connect a USB cable from your phone to a computer to transfer pictures
or other files from your phone that your phone will not be in charge only
mode. Thanks for your concern!.

I had a similar problem. The phone wouldn't turn on at all, though when I pressed the power button a white light would come on briefly, then one time it came on and stayed on, but that was all. I was told (by Verizon) that once the phone discharges all the way to zero it can be difficult to start up again even if it is plugged into the charger. Plugging it into the charger in the house didn't work, but I tried the car charger and it started charging right away. My theory is that the wall outlet charger does not have enough "oomph" to kick start the phone if it is totally depleted, but the car charger must have more (what? volts/amps I'm no electrical expert) whatever it needs to bring it back and start it charging. Once it got going (at 20%) I brought it back into the house and it charged OK. Wish I would've though of this when the other phone did this a few weeks ago! What I'm thinking is that the outlet charger needs to be redesigned to fix this problem. There is a very good chance that, no matter how good you are about keeping your phone charged, there will be that one time that it discharges down zero and then . . .
