This is the first time I have posted on this forum and on the ICS update. I see a few on this forum (the ones that have it already) telling us that don't have it, to wait and patience, now that's been going on for 8 days now and still most of us do not have ICS on our Razr or Razr Maxx. I would just like to know are we getting it or not? Someone from Verizon needs to Man Up and tell us, are we getting it or not and if we are when? ( you know like a real date) I'm new to Verizon and would like to know also is this the normal way they treat their customers?!
Does anyone on this forum work for Verizon?

I was told yesterday by a Verizon Customer Service rep that the ICS update was to be released to everyone today. Up to this point the release has been staged. But he claims to have been reading from internal email between Motorola and Verizon that stated "the global release is set for 6/29/2012". Of course I still don't have it either. I can tell you from speaking to both Verizon and Motorola in the last few days, the agents don't have a clue either. I have it on my daughter's Razr I don't have it on my Razr Maxx. So the geographical theory is wrong. Her Razr is two weeks old, my Razr Maxx is several months old, so the "older phones get it first" theory is wrong. Heck, I was even told that my phone either needs a factory reset or replaced becuase I should have had it by now, by one rep. Verizon claims the release is controlled solely by Motorola, their information posted is only in response to what Motorola is telling them. I recently switched from iPhone to the Razr Maxx, I love the phone but Apple has customer service hands down over either Verizon or Motorola. When Apple releases and IOS update they tell you when you will get it and when that day arrives you get it, none of this crap of not knowing when or if you will ever see it.

The "testing" concluded a couple of days ago (to the selected SOAK group). ICS is now rolling out - in waves / groups - to all RAZR & RAZR MAXX phones ... For various reasons they are not going to just release it to EVERYONE at exactly the same time - it would overwhelm the system. patience grasshopper - you will get it soon ..

You know what? Most of us are users just like YOU. WE don't control anything we're just telling what we know. Just chill, you will get the update. It ain't all that anyway, trust me. It's pretty and smooth and has some cool new features. It isn't going to change your life.
