Texting Issues

When I first bought my Droid Turbo nearly a year ago, I was pleasantly surprised
when I received texts while driving.  These were announced to me automatically as
"You have a new message from _________. To hear it, say
listen."  And when I spoke, the phone read me the message and asked
if I wanted to reply. When I replied, the phone read back what I said to
confirm and sent the message on upon approval. That was awesome. When the first
update came this spring, all of the BIG help with this went away. Apparently
the voice recognition went bad because the phone could not hear me and replied “Let’s
talk later” or simply hung up. With this past update early October, the problem was fixed about 10%. It works
about 10% of the time. Now, when I need to reply to a text when not driving,
half of the time it won't allow me to type at all. I have to back out of the
texting mode and return. Does anyone have a resolution with this type of issue?

I am sorry to say that none of this helped my problem. Most of these steps

were already implemented. I have gone to Verizon's store in Hendersonville,

TN 2 or 3 times about this since the spring. Nobody can give me the answers

because it's truly based on Motorola having updated the Android system. I

really need the department at Motorola to speak with. My husband said this

is driving me crazy. It is, but since the phone started out doing these

functions why or how did it stop?

I tried all of this and nothing has helped. I have talked with Motorola

who sent me to a fictitious phone number for Google because Motorola said

it was probably on their end with the Lollipop update this year. I'm about

at my wit's end. I know it's just a thing of being helpful during driving

mode and having to be hands free, but it's so frustrating that I can't use

the phone properly as it was first intended that I want to turn my phone

off while I am in the car.
