Software update!

Okay, i have had my patience tested to the max with the new software update i got just a few days ago. it has done everything except worked i want to know how to get the old software on there and remove this piece of sh1t software from my d@mn phone. i work with computers a lot and i have never seen software this bad in my life. day in and out this new update for Droid razr and been nothing but a piece of shit.

Problems that needs to be addressed:

1) phone locks up during phone calls, and cant turn off, hang up or anything.

2) internet on the phone $ucks since new software update.  (not its not the freaking internet problem didn't have the problem until the software update.)

3) new design and layout for the system $ucks. texting calling, add/ removal of apps.

I'm sure there's more out there but im so mad at this point at the trolls at version that i can only think of those problems.

I hear ya, it's been frustrating for many users. Try wiping the Dalvik cache, if that doesn't work, do an FDR but disable Goole's automatice restore of apps/data.

Cache Wipe:

1. Press and hold the Power button and turn the phone off.
2. When the screen turns off, press and hold BOTH Volume buttons then press Power.
3. When the white HBOOT screen appears, use the volume button to move down to “RECOVERY.”
4. Press the Volume Up button to select “RECOVERY.”
5. When the triangle and exclamation(Dead Android) appears, hold the Volume Up and Down button at the same time.
6. Using the volume button, scroll down to “Wipe cache partition” and use the power button to select it.
7. When it is done you will see another menu, scroll down with Volume Down button “Reboot system now" and select it with the Power Button.

Hi Johnathan,

I don't work at Verizon, I just troll through here with some other trolls trying to help others get out from under the bridge. An individual with such vast PC knowledge as yourself may find it difficult to get any useful information from this forum. However, you may be able share some of your expertise so that others will not suffer.

I am sure that others here would like to know how to clear the cache on the phone, and perhaps do the soft reset. What were your experiences with the Factory reset? Good or bad. Inquiring minds will want to know.

Can you explain to others how easy it was to move from Windows 98 to Win 7 or OSX and how we may apply that experience to adjusting to ICS verses GB.

I am sure b33, smash and others here are as eager to be schooled as I am.

If your want to go back to Gingerbread John it can't Happen.. Sorry!  once I.C.S is installed it's on it but a update should rolling around soon to Sooth some or all of the Issues..
