I have been having issues with this phone since I bought it 7 months ago and today, during a phone call, the screen went black. I tried turning the display on and nothing happened. When the call ended and the other person hung up, there was no end call "beep" and the screen never came back on. After about 2 hours the powering on screen came on for about 20 mins then shut off, this happened about 5 times then all of a sudden the phone turned back on. The touch screen did not work and as soon as the display timed out, the phone shut off. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I would try a soft reset first. Hold down the Volume Down and Power Button together for about 10 seconds, and let it reset.
What other issues have you been having? If they started right from the time you got it, did you take it back to the store?
This happened to my wife's phone too. I did the soft reset and it worked. Not sure how long it will last.

Keep track of what you are doing before you have to reset it. I found an app on mine that would do it probably once a week or so. I tracked it to that app, removed it, and I have not had a problem since.
I have experienced this on other smartphones and I finally figured out it was a corrupt calendar or contacts database. Backing up and restoring the phone data didn't help because it just restored the same corrupt database. I finally synced my device with Google calendar and contacts, turned off the sync, deleted all calendar and contact data on my device and let it re-sync from Google. Make sure you have backed up both as a precaution. Good Luck!
