Since updating software, I'm receiving non-stop texts that say VZWNMN: 1 or VZWNMN: 2 coming from number 6250

Since I chose to update the software on my Droid Razr Maxx, I've been receiving about 10 to 15 texts a day from 6250 saying VZWNMN: 1.  Sometimes it says VZWNMN: 2.  It's the most annoying thing ever.  How do I stop this?  Verizon is so terrible.

trentwatts1- Repeated texts are really annoying, so I have a solution for you! This is a service called Backup Assistant Plus. Simply log in as the account owner for My Verizon, and under the I Want To section, choose Change Features, select your device, and look for Email Setup - Backup Assistant Plus. Disable the features that you do not want, scroll to the bottom hit Next to accept your changes, and just follow the prompts, and that's it!

Removing Backup Assistant Plus does NOT fix this problem.  I removed Backup Asst Plus yesterday and have received 4 of that same message today.  Please advise.

Try clearing you cache and rebooting your device.

I'm sorry your not able to stop those unwanted messages bellybear71. We are doing all we can to tackle this issue. Thank you for your patience. I recommend power cycling. If you are still receiving the messages, try removing third party apps that you are using for messaging. I would also recommend enabling/disabling applications. Here are the steps http://tiny.cc/x1m0qw . Please contact us from an alternate phone at 1-800-922-0204 and we can check your account for additional options to stop the messages.

I've been having the same problem since my Droid Razr Maxx went through a BIG upgrade. I'm not computer literate enough to figure out which apps are the "most recent" so I can disable them.

Getting dozens of VZWNMN messages a day is really REALLY frustrating!! The messages started as soon as the upgrade completed.

Okay... JUST got a "VZWUEP:ADD" message from 6250 What's that????

I finally added 6250 to my Black List using GO SMS so that I don't get those text messages anymore. Doing all that stuff in My Verizon is not a foolproof fix.

Did you read the instructions posted by the VZW reps? Those messages are from Verizon Wireless for their Backup Assistant Plus.

Dear VZN,

More issues with that last PUSH/update I see. I am over a week into the mess that push did to my maxx. I have hours invested in this debocile, two hours on phone with VZN and MOT with no resolve, just "I'm so sorry".  How does so sorry help me and hundreds of others with outstanding problems?  The VZN store re-factory set my phone after VZN told me to go there and I lost even more functions.  "WHY"?

Why can't I set my alarm using music from my music anymore?  Why did I loose my album covers in my music?  Why did I loose my original factory skins?  Why did I loose all my contacts and the pictures and email add associated?

Can't these updates be more perfected before they are released?  Why can't I deny a update like I have to do from Microsoft?  I am forced to let them in only to find dysfunction.  I have 20 hours in research on blogs, tweaks to phone and travel to VZN stores.

I am not a happy customer now and I have been around for 5 years.  PLEASE get this stuff worked out and advise us the customers.  Speaking for myself, if these problems do not get worked out I am leaving VZN, I can get a much better deal at WAL-MART...........
