Sending text messages from PC

I am trying to send text messages from my PC.  One place it said to use the cell phone number plus @vtext.com.  When I try this with a Verzion number, I always get an error message that it can not go thru.  What do I do?

You're using the correct address (no hyphens in the phone number) and they should go through, unless the person you are sending to has a block on their phone for web-based messages (or if there's some sort of system issue).  Another possible issue is if you're trying to send a photo attachment; if so, those should be addressed to vzwpix.com rather than vtext.com
