@smartsite - I'm just curious if you've tried any suggestions on how to cure your phones ills?

ARE U NUTZ?  ICS for droid razr maxx killed this phone.  i want to throw it away now, it is so bad.  crisp clear graphics have been replaced with typical old motorola fuzziness.  my home wireless went from excellent reception to fair.  the phone doesn't play some videos now, and 4 G is sketchy.  battery life dropped. fonts are harder to read. email system has been compromised... have to keep loading more mail to see my email.  also have to keep touching something that says 'background data unavailable' to clear it.  have to push 3 buttons to end a phone call.    user interface is not as attractive and am stuck with an apps button in the middle i can't get rid of.   just what i need, another apps button, especially phone keeps going to the apps download page on it's own.when the phone keeps going to the apps download page on it's own..   oh, and there's this stupid oscillating button you have to hit to get into your phone every few minutes, then you have to hit another button to get in after that.  what the ???????   and contacts - they took the contacts function out of the calling area of the phone.  i just don't get it.

absolute nightmare new operating system. and the worst part is, they don't give you a choice to upgrade.  do yourself a favor if it's not too late - back up your gingerbread so you can reformat your phone.

You sound like a person that the iPhone was made for... Same old boring interface version after version... and you think I am nutz?

does anyone have a workaround to be able to recreate email groups.  This function was dismantled in the ice cream sandwich upgrade.

You can use the built in groups in the People app (Contacts) and you can also create new groups to use. You can then send email based on those groups.

Hope this helps.
